PLC’s and Operator Interfaces have evolved and made great increases in functionality over the last 20 years. Many systems exist with functional mechanical aspects that meet minimal operational needs but significant improvement in functionality could be reached if new control hardware and enhanced software was to replace the existing equipment. Some installations have older hardware platforms that some cases have become increasingly difficult to manufacture and other cases simply impossible to manufacture. When a part fails, often there are no replacements left.
Most PLC hardware manufactures have an upgrade path to newer hardware, operating systems and programming software. Some machines are directly able to use the same software. Others require considerable effort to move the software forward. Each situation calls for individual evaluation. CAI has the skill set and knowledge to move your machine / system forward.
Examples of systems upgrade are Allen-Bradley / Rockwell and Mitsubishi Hardware platforms. Below are some examples of prior work CAI has done for its customers.
